Police say three people are dead and others are injured after a fiery crash involving transit buses.

Transit officials say two buses crashed and police have closed the road.

Photos and video circulating online reveal thick plumes of ash-grey smoke billowing from flames running along the roof of one bus.

Smaller flames could be seen coming from the front of the second bus.

The front part of that bus appeared smashed with the steering wheel twisted and jutting out.

The crash happened just east of the city’s airport.
