Tom Blyth was born in Birmingham, England, but his acting career is as American as apple pie. Best known as the star of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and People We Meet on Vacation, he attended Juilliard to study acting and has built a career out of American roles. He played Yanks in those two prior mainstream hits as well as the ’90s-set gay police drama Plainclothes and the western TV series Billy the Kid. Now, Blyth is taking on a flag-draped play about the U.S. military. He’s starring in Michael Arden’s Broadway revival of Aaron Sorkin’s A Few Good Men, claiming a role that invites comparison with the man who starred in Rob Reiner’s film adaptation — the most American of movie stars, Tom Cruise.
