It took a few curveballs for me to realize THIS

Hey Iza,

What a difference a few months can make!

Earlier this year, I went through one of the most challenging periods I've had in a long time.

There were financial pressures, challenges in my relationship, things weren't going quite to plan with work, and then, of course, the heartbreaking loss of my beautiful Mum.

It felt like everything was happening at once.

And I'll admit, things got pretty dark there for a little while.

But something interesting has happened since then.

I've found myself feeling more grateful for my life than ever before.

And I think it's because of the contrast.

You see, when everything is going swimmingly, it's easy to take the good stuff for granted. But when life throws you a few curveballs (or an entire cricket team starts bowling them at you!), you begin to appreciate things in a completely different way.

For example, even though work was challenging, I realized how incredibly blessed I am to have created something that allows me to work from anywhere in the world.

When Mum passed, I was able to drop everything and fly back to Australia to be with my family.

I've just returned from an extraordinary retreat in Peru, and now I'm heading to Mexico to lead another one.

And through it all, I can still do the work I love, connect with amazing people, and make a difference in the world.

How lucky am I?!

Now, none of this takes away from the difficult moments. Losing Mum will always be heartbreaking.

But it's reminded me of something I believe so deeply.

We don't always get to choose what happens to us, but we do get to choose the perspective we bring to it.

Sometimes, the very experiences that knock us sideways help us see just how much we have to be grateful for.

So, if you're going through something challenging right now, I want to encourage you to look at it from a different perspective.

Not to pretend everything is wonderful when it isn't.

But to ask yourself, "What is this experience helping me see, appreciate, or understand that I couldn't see before?"

Because sometimes the greatest gifts come wrapped in the most unexpected packages.

For me, that shift in perspective has changed everything.

Things have turned around, my gratitude is through the roof, and I'm genuinely excited about this next chapter of my life.

And if there's one thing I want you to take away from this today, it's that a difficult chapter doesn't mean the rest of your story has to be difficult too.

There's always another possibility. Another perspective. Another chapter waiting to be written.

We've got this!

With love,
Nat
