Hurricane Isaias Update - Tallahassee VA Clinic Early Closure - Message #2

Dear Veteran,

As Hurricane Isaias approaches the Gulf Coast, the safety of the Veterans we serve remains our top priority. Please see updated information below.

Facility Status Update The Sergeant Ernest I. “Boots” Thomas VA Clinic (Tallahassee) will close at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, to ensure the safety of Veterans and staff.

All other NF/SGVHS facilities currently remain open and operational. If weather conditions require additional schedule changes, we will notify you promptly.

What this may mean for you:

  1. Appointments: If weather affects your scheduled visit, we will contact you. Please make sure your phone number and contact information are up to date in MyHealtheVet or with your care team.
  2. Urgent needs: If you have health questions or concerns and cannot safely travel, the HSA 2.3 Clinical Contact Center provides 24/7 virtual support for Veterans You can call 1‑877‑741‑3400 any time for assistance.
    If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately.
  1. Be prepared: For guidance on emergency planning, storm kits, and protective steps you can take before severe weather arrives, visit our Emergency Preparedness Page.
