Watch the Recording from FDA Public Workshop “Testosterone Use in Menopausal Women”
On September 17, 2026, the FDA Office of Women’s Health (OWH) and Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) hosted a public workshop on Testosterone Use in Menopausal Women. The workshop examined the current scientific evidence and critical knowledge gaps in this area to help inform future research and potential drug development.

In addition to the workshop, the FDA also opened a docket to allow for submission of broad, public comments on the risks and benefits related to testosterone use in menopausal women.The docket will be open for public comments for 60 days. Comments must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. ET on October 19, 2026, to be considered. Visit Regulations.gov for comment submission requirements.
