IF YOU’VE NOTICED a suspicious calm on your TV screens, it’s because live television coverage of Donald Trump has all but vanished. Major networks are boycotting pooled video feeds of Trump’s White House in the wake of his ban on CNN, Politico, and MS NOW creating a strange void in our political-entertainment universe.

Into that void have stepped some ever-entrepreneurial, pro-Trump media outlets, which have decided to launch a White House pool operation of their own.

Over the past few days, fledgling operations like Real America’s Voice and LindellTV—yes, from the former MyPillow guy—have been producing their own feed of Trump’s comings and goings. And they’ve offered to share that footage with the world.

“The pool feed is being supplied by our friends here at this amazing network!” declared Andrew Kolvet, the Charlie Kirk lieutenant who now cohosts the late activist’s show on Real America’s Voice.

Why these outlets have chosen to do this is not entirely clear. One could suspect they see the current moment—in which banned outlets are hashing out their cases in court—as a golden opportunity to build up their own legitimacy and assuage the president’s ego. There also is the distinct possibility that the White House asked them to do it as an F-U of sorts to the legacy shops currently boycotting the pool.

Intriguingly, Real America’s Voice executive Parker Sigg told Kolvet the outlet launched its pool after receiving “a late middle-of-the-night phone call” asking it to cover Trump’s visit to the United Nations.

Sigg, who didn’t respond to a request for comment, didn’t explain who made that request, or whether it came from the administration. But he promised to offer an “unfeathered,” “unadultered” view of Trump.

With a federal judge ordering the administration early Thursday to allow the banned outlets back, it’s not clear how long Real America’s Voice will run its pool. But whatever the future of the MAGA pool, the early results have ...
