Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 15 years in prison more than a year after a New York jury found the former Hollywood mogul guilty of a first-degree criminal sexual act involving former “Project Runway” production assistant Miriam Haley in a high-stakes retrial. Weinstein pleaded not guilty and denied sexually assaulting Haley.

The sentencing comes after a protracted series of trials, appeals and courtroom proceedings that have kept Weinstein behind bars since his arrest in 2018, one of the key events of the #MeToo movement.
