Dr. Robert Conti and I would like to extend a personal invitation to anyone interested in receiving explicitly Christian messages of hope and encouragement.

We have created a new publication called Hope in the Hard Places.

It was born from our shared Christian faith and our desire to walk beside people facing grief, illness, fear, family struggles, disappointment, and seasons of uncertainty.

Through personal reflections, Scripture, and messages grounded in the hope we have found in Jesus Christ, we will explore how faith can bring God’s presence, truth, strength, and enduring hope into the places where life is hardest.

We would like to invite you to read our first message:

Forgiveness does not declare that what happened was acceptable. It releases its power to keep controlling your life.

This first message also includes a meaningful video that we hope will bring encouragement to anyone struggling with hurt, forgiveness, or painful experiences from the past.

The publication is completely free, and future messages will be delivered directly to your email. You do not need to download the Substack app.

We also want to be very clear about the separation between this publication and FMU.

Hope in the Hard Places is a separate Christian ministry.

It is not an FMU program, and it will not discuss functional medicine, clinical sequencing, professional education, or any FMU products or services.

Likewise, these Christian reflections will not become part of FMU’s regular professional or educational communications

This is not an attempt to impose our beliefs on anyone. It is simply an invitation for those who genuinely want to receive these messages.

You will not be subscribed automatically.

Only those who personally choose to subscribe will receive communications from Hope in the Hard Places.

If this is not something you wish to receive, you do not need to do anything. You will not receive these Christian messages simply because you are on the FMU email list.

Our purpose is not to market, sell, pressure, or persuade.

It is simply to share the hope we have found in Jesus Christ with those who freely raise their hands and ask to receive it.
