Throughout its war against Ukraine, Russia has coerced thousands of prisoners to denounce their leaders and country on camera and spread those videos back at home. In interviews with more than 850 Ukrainian prisoners of war conducted by the U.N., 96% said they endured torture or mistreatment, including beatings and mock executions.
