Why, you ask? Well, we’re tracking a potential nor’easter that could bring heavy rain, gusty winds and flooding to parts of eastern Massachusetts into the weekend.

Lindsay Clancy‘s lawyer has filed a new motion to dismiss the murder charges against her in the killing of her children, saying the judge in the trial was required to do more to investigate jurors’ claims that a holdout wasn’t applying the law as instructed.

The motion from attorneys Kevin Reddington and Martin Weinberg filed in Plymouth Superior Court Monday says a retrial would violate Clancy’s double jeopardy rights, since the claims shared with the judge “required a judicial inquiry sufficient to ascertain whether her right to an impartial jury was being violated.”

Earlier this month, 11 of 12 jurors were ready to clear Lindsay Clancy of criminal responsibility, with the majority feeling that the Massachusetts mom was in the grip of a rare condition called postpartum psychosis when she strangled her kids in 2023. But a lone juror sided with the prosecutors, who had argued that Clancy knew what she was doing. The deadlock stretched on, and Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on Sept. 4.

The “looksmaxxing” personality known as Clavicular has been charged with rape in Massachusetts, online court records show.

The charges listed against Clavicular, 20, whose real name is Braden Peters, are one count of rape, one count of drugging someone for sexual intercourse, and one count of procuring liquor for someone under 21 years old, according to the records.

The charges were filed Sept. 8, and the alleged offenses occurred May 23, 2025, the records indicate. More details about the allegations were not immediately available.

A suspect in a New Hampshire arson investigation was believed to be in the Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, area, police said Monday, urging the public to call 911 if they see him.

Derrick Couture, 39, is believed to have traveled to Tyngsborough after the incident in Nashua that prompted the search, according to Tyngsborough police.

Couture could be a danger to himself or other people, and anyone who sees him was urged not to approach him. Police asked anyone with information about him, including where he is, to call 911.

An air traffic control equipment issue in the New York City area indirectly affected flights at Boston Logan International Airport on Monday.

Airport volume is what the Federal Aviation Administration cited in its official advisory for a ground stop, issued at 12:36 p.m. The airport was taking on diverted flights from other airports in the Northeast, which were dealing with an air traffic control equipment issue at Newark’s airport.

“Passengers should check with their airline before coming to the airport,” said Massport, which operates the airport, in an advisory.

Lindsay Clancy‘s defense lawyer is asking a judge to launch a probe into the lone holdout juror in the case that ended in a mistrial this month.

As the NBC10 Boston Investigators reported earlier this month, that juror had a history of domestic violence allegations and also had an active restraining order when he was picked for the murder trial.

Legal experts told us those revelations raised questions about whether the juror truthfully answered his questionnaire. Now, Kevin Reddington, Clancy’s attorney, wants the court to review that document, request phone records to see if the juror used his cellphone during deliberations and even ask that juror questions under oath.
