Principal Message
Please take this time to enjoy a quick break from our new school year. Spend time with family and friends, and read lots of books. Administration is hard at work finalizing our SIIP. As soon as it is finalized we will be happy to share it with the community and discuss how we can all work together to exceed the goals within.
LORTON STATION PTO--MEETING TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9
Lorton Station's PTO will hold it's first meeting of the school year on Tuesday, September 9 at 7pm. This is a VIRTUAL MEETING. The PTO is always looking for new members from families and staff alike. There are many ways to participate. Come to the meeting to learn the exciting plans the PTO has for our students this year. You could see where you might lend your talents to support a great school experience for your kids!

INTERNATIONAL DOT DAY SEPTEMBER 15
Every year, Lorton Station celebrates in International Dot Day, a day dedicated to creativity and courage. Art students will read Peter H. Reynolds’ classic storybook The Dot and create dot-inspired artwork to display throughout the school.
Students and families are also invited to complete our optional Dot Art Challenge. Transform all 12 circles on the attached template using drawings, details, and colors. Please return artwork to an art teacher by Monday, September 14th for display.
