This is a reminder that VA clinics and administrative offices are closed Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.

The Emergency Department at the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City remains operational 24/7.

**The Emergency Department is now located on the Northeast section of the main hospital, Building 1. There is adjacent parking for patients and visitors there.** Click button below for our updated campus map.

For urgent needs, call VA Health Connect at 801-582-1565

• Select 1 for Pharmacy
• Select 2 for Scheduling
• Select 3 to Speak with a nurse

In case of mental health or other emergencies:

In a mental health crisis, call 988 and select 1 for the Veterans Crisis Line.

In case of any emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room, then notify VA within 72 hours of the ER visit via the Emergency Care Reporting Portal or by calling 844-724-7842 (TTY: 711).
