The entire course is based around an original story - a mystery. You read two short chapters a week, then twice a week you meet online with an expert Spanish teacher and a small group and discuss what just happened.

Here's why I built this course.

You already understand far more Spanish than you can say. That is not a gap in your ability. It is a gap in what anyone has ever asked you to do.

Think about what you have actually practised over the years. Ordering food. The weather. Where you are from.

Every app and every tutor conversation trained you at the shallow end, and then you were surprised when you could not hold your own at the deep end.

So this course does two things, and the second is the one almost nobody bothers with.

Cuéntamelo gives you something worth discussing. And then it gives you somewhere to discuss it.

The something: an original story called El Reloj de los Pirineos, written for B1 to B2 readers.

Clara's grandfather has died. Going through his things she finds an old silver pocket watch, stopped at 4:17.

Hidden inside the case: a hand drawn map through the Pyrenees, three rules for crossing in winter, and three names. One of them scratched out in black ink.

Her family has always known that somebody disappeared on one of her grandfather's crossings. Nobody has ever said his name.

The somewhere: eight live sessions with your tutor Dave Pinto and a group of learners at your level, all of whom read the same chapters you did.

Here is what you get when you join:

• 8 story chapters with audio. About 500 words each, two a week. Read it, listen to it, or both at once.
• 4 Conversation & Story Club sessions. You and the group talk about what just happened, in Spanish. Summarise it, predict what is coming, make the case for who the crossed out name belongs to.
• 4 Language Lab sessions. Dave works on the Spanish that actually turned up in your chapters, so the grammar arrives with the context already attached.
• 8 vocabulary lists and 4 weekly tasks. Five to eight words per chapter that genuinely keep coming back, and one meaningful piece of output a week.
• A live online group, and every session recorded. Full replays, so a bad week costs you nothing.
