Here are some troubleshooting methods that can help ensure delivery of VEText Messages
-
Check with your carrier to ensure you don't have service interruptions. Service interruptions can make it seem like you are not receiving VEText messages at all, sporadically, or at odd hours.
- We can verify VEText messages that were queued and sent to the SMS gateway and then forwarded to the carrier network. Once the message is passed to the carrier network, any signal or service interruptions may affect the success or speed of delivery.
-
Ensure your smartphone is not filtering VEText messages as Spam. Some phone operating systems and carriers have automated filters in place to filter and hide messages it deems as spam.
- This can result in VEText messages being erroneously filtered as spam.
- The following are some tips on how to check the spam settings ad message locations to verify whether the missed messages are being flagged as spam. Please be aware that due to the number of different phones and systems available, the below are general steps using the phone’s default messaging app:
-
Add VEText short code as a contact in your phone. Cellphones use the contact book as a reference that incoming messages are valid/trusted. Add the following numbers to your contact list:
-
53079 - Appointment Reminders, Community Care, and Clinic Cancellations
-
21413 - Surgery Notifications, One-Way Vaccine Outreach
-
80728 - Emergency Management, Two-Way Vaccine Outreach
-
Opt-In again to Text Messages - Accidentally opted-out of receiving VEText messages and want to Opt-In again?
- Text START to one of the above corresponding numbers that you would like to Opt-Into. (53079, 21413, 80728).
