Enhancement – Legislation – Related Bills
- Find two new types of bill relationships on the Related Bills tab in a new accordion format.
-
Contained in public law indicates the text of a measure is contained in the public law text of a bill that became law. For example, the text of H.R. 8878 is contained in the text of H.R.6644, which became Public Law 119-101.
- A note highlighting the relationship appears in search results and in the bill overview.
-
Reintroduction links two bills in consecutive Congresses having the same official title, same sponsor, and introduced text versions that are identical or nearly identical. For example, H.R. 9268 from the 117th Congress was reintroduced as H.R.1318 in the 118th Congress.
- Learn more at About Related Bills.
Enhancement – Member Profiles – Related Bills
- The Member Activity filter on a Member Profile has two new ways to limit your view of legislation sponsored by the Member.
- Select Incorporated to display only bills that are contained in the public law text of other bills.
- Select Reintroduced to display only bills that are related to a bill from a different Congress because they have the same official title and sponsor, and an introduced text version that is identical or nearly identical.
