Westfield Administrative Team Update
We are excited to welcome our newest Assistant Principal, Mr. Mike Jeffry. Mr. Jeffry Mike is coming to Westfield after teaching Science for 21 years at Carter G. Woodson High School. Mr. Jeffry served the Woodson community in many roles over the years as a teacher, Honor Council chair, club sponsor, CLT lead, etc. He is focused on making sure the science department’s courses were rigorous but scaffolded to help all students achieve their academic goals. Mr. Jeffry is most passionate about creating classroom communities where students feel valued, are excited to learn, willing to try, and able to learn from their mistakes. He is excited to transition to his new role and to become a part of the Westfield community.

Student Parking

New Requirement for Student Devices Use During the School Day
Starting this school year, students must use FCPS-issued devices for school-related digital activities during the instructional day. This is in accordance with a new School Board requirement, approved on July 16, which states that students may not use personal electronic communication or computing devices, including personal laptops, tablets, smartwatches, smartphones, and similar devices. Optional Student Chromebook Pickup for SATs at Westfield
Are you taking the SAT at Westfield on Saturday, August 22 and would like to check out a student chromebook? Complete the online checkout form using your student FCPS account and review the full pickup location directions Please note that test-day devices will also be available on-site at Westfield, so pre-checking out a device is optional.
Understanding Student Rights and Responsibilities Updates: New Universal Grade Matrices for Families
Families are encouraged to review the updated FCPS Student Rights and Responsibilities (SR&R) document, which explains expectations for student behavior and adult responses in order to enhance school safety and to create a fair, equitable, and supportive school environment. Visit the SR&R webpage for more information and to review additional updates to the SR&R for the 2026-27 school year.
Back-to-School Immunization Requirements
Make sure your child has all of their required immunizations before the first day of school. Review school-required immunizations to verify that your child is up to date.
New Student ID Cards Coming for Bus Riders This Fall
As part of the ongoing commitment to strengthening layered safety and security programs, FCPS will implement a new student ID system for students who ride our school buses. Learn more about the new transportation system and student ID cards.
