The moment a Transportation Security Administration officer reached into 7-year-old Emree’s backpack, her mother, Molly Glassheim, didn’t understand what was wrong.

Minnie Driver said she sprained her neck and is “in shock” after being involved in a “really bad car accident.”

Sydney Towle, who documented her treatment for a form of bile duct cancer called cholangiocarcinoma on social media, has died.

The 26-year-old’s family announced Thursday on her Instagram that she passed away the day before. A graphic reads, “An endless ray of sunshine. A daughter, sister, and friend to so many.” The caption then reads, “We will always love you so much Sydney. I am so proud of how hard you fought. I love you.”

On TikTok, Towle’s family shared a message with her supporters: “She fought really hard, and we’re so proud of her,” said Austin Towle, her brother. “And we thank all of you for your support over the years.”

The 31-year-old son of opera singer Jubilant Sykes pleaded not guilty to murder and other crimes Thursday in the Grammy-nominated artist’s stabbing death at the family’s Santa Monica home.

Micah Sykes also faces a special allegation of using a deadly weapon in the commission of a crime, which can increase potential penalties during the sentencing phase of a trial. The charges against him include an allegation that he inflicted great bodily injury upon a vulnerable victim 60 years of age or older.

Prosecutors alleged that Micah Sykes used a dagger, garden shears and barbell in the Dec. 8 attack. Jubilant Sykes, 71, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime, where his son was found and taken into custody.
