Indeed, it fell on the identical day as the prior week. I intended to visit them earlier this week but time slipped away quickly. You could try preparing a Venezuelan pabellón criollo (literally, national flag). It features beef, rice, plantains and black beans, and is quite enjoyable to cook. Alternatively, I could represent one of 3 remarkable Mexican dishes: birria (with beef), cochinita pibil (with pork), or chiles en nogada (stuffed poblano peppers in a creamy walnut sauce).
