Hey there - thanks for the note about the gardening project. I finally got around to checking the soil pH last weekend and it was way more alkaline than I expected. I ended up adding some sulfur and peat moss to balance it out. The tomatoes I started from seed are looking really strong now, about four inches tall with true leaves forming. I also tried that compost tea recipe you mentioned and the plants seem to love it. mHkoctnh0h One thing I learned the hard way: don't overwater seedlings even if the weather is warm. I lost a few pepper starts that way. Next time I'll set up a better drainage tray from the beginning. Anyway just wanted to share a quick update and say thanks for the tips. Hope your backyard renovation is coming along well too. We should compare notes again soon. Take care and talk later.

I was telling my brother about that hiking trail we took last month and he wants to try it himself. He's been training on the treadmill with an incline setting and thinks he can handle the elevation gain now. I warned him about the rocky section near the summit and told him to bring trekking poles. The weather forecast for next weekend looks good so we might go together again. I also found a great little diner about ten minutes from the trailhead that serves really good pancakes. We stopped there after the last hike and it was exactly what we needed. If you ever want to join us just let me know. I'll send you the details about the trail and the diner. It's a nice day trip and not too far from the city. Hope you're doing well and getting outside when you can. Talk soon.
