It's Norway star Erling Haaland facing France and Kylian Mbappé, one of the world's best strikers. As for our weather, we are tracking downpours today, and even possible thunderstorms. Marquee World Cup matchup at Boston Stadium today as Norway faces France

Shortly after his team beat Senegal, Norway star Erling Haaland said he didn’t care all that much about its next game against France.

The rest of the soccer world sure does.

One of the marquee matchups of the World Cup takes place in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on Friday, when Haaland and the Norwegians face France and Kylian Mbappé.

Downpours this morning, with two rounds of storms possible today (live radar)

A round of rain is in store this morning as a speedy weather system moves through.

Although it’s brief, it will be a beneficial soaking in some towns and cities, and we could even have couple of embedded thunderstorms. Skies will clear behind this batch of showers, then we gear up for more potent storms in the afternoon.

The atmosphere is primed for the development of strong winds in any of the storms that become severe, so keep an eye to the sky anytime after 4 p.m.

Man killed in stabbing at Wellesley park

A man was stabbed to death Thursday afternoon at a park in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

The Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office said Wellesley police responded to a 911 call at Phillips Park on Maugus Avenue. A 58-year-old man was found with a stab wound.

The man was brought to Newton Wellesely Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, prosecutors said.

2 children on motorized scooter seriously hurt in crash with school bus in Haverhill

Two children were seriously hurt when their motorized scooter and a school bus collided on Thursday afternoon in Haverhill, Massachusetts, police said.

The two children were taken to the hospital from the scene, at the intersection of Portland Street and 5th Avenue, according to Haverhill police.

The crash was reported about 3:55 p.m. It wasn’t immediately clear how the scooter the children were riding collided with the bus, or how old the children are.

Meet the Wada Hoppah, an e-ferry that aims to beat Boston traffic via the Charles

A new company is working to put a new kind of rush into Boston’s rush hour.

Inside a warehouse in Concord, Massachusetts, sits the Wada Hoppah, an all-electric ferry designed to carry passengers between Watertown and Boston, giving commuters and visitors a new way to bypass traffic on Storrow Drive, Memorial Drive and other jam-packed roads along the Charles.

“I just can’t wait for Boston to experience this,” said Drew Rollert, the founder of Wada Hoppah.

2 customers hospitalized after SUV crashes into Newburyport restaurant

An SUV crashed into a restaurant Thursday afternoon in Newburyport, Massachusetts, injuring three diners.

Police responded shortly before 6:30 p.m. to the Black Cow on Merrimac Street, where a BMW X3 had crashed through a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows near the entrance.

Two men who were inside the restaurant were taken by ambulance to Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport to be treated for injuries. A third customer was also hurt, but declined to be transported.
