EDITOR'S NOTE

I’m going to Canada in two weeks for a wedding + vacation combo trip, so naturally I decided I hate my entire closet. This resulted in a cute little haul from Gap, because how else am I going to pack for formal events and a nature-forward getaway at the same time? Here’s everything I bought in preparation:

• A blue and white striped peplum top for casual seaside dinners

• These cotton gauze barrel joggers since I’ll be roadtripping

• High-rise running shorts for hikes and beach walks

• A polka-dot, drop-waist maxi for the welcome party
