As we reflect on another memorable school year and enjoy the start of summer, we want to thank you for your support, partnership, and engagement throughout the year. Working together, we helped our lions thrive, and it has been wonderful to see their growth both academically and socially. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and the positive contributions they have made to our school community. Our success would not be possible without the support of our families. Thank you for your partnership, encouragement, and commitment throughout the year - your involvement has made a meaningful difference. Together, we have created a school environment where children learn, grow, and thrive.
The last week of school was packed with our 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony, class parties, K - 4 celebration assemblies, and a final wave of our buses on Wednesday.
Beginning on Thursday, June 25th, the front office hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or by appointment. Call ahead if you need to stop by before or after daily office hours. Read below to keep up with activities this summer! See you soon ~ Mrs. Castillo
Check it out! Superintendent Dr. Michelle Reid not only visited Lemon Road, but highlighted a video featuring sixth graders mastering algebra at Lemon Road and Haycock Elementary Schools.
Here is also a special video specific to Shining a Light on Lemon Road Algebra 1 Honors students & Mrs. Caccavale! We are so proud of our students, staff, and community.
Congratulations to the Lemon Road ES Eco Defense Squad! The 4th - 6th graders worked hard to lead our environmental efforts this year, and we have earned a Green Flag from EcoSchoolsUS, the equivalent of an environmental gold award. Additionally, ten members of the squad contributed towards our new Eco Code, something that shows our LRES efforts and commitment to supporting our environment. Great work, everyone. Keep it green and see you next year!
Join Lemon Road staff at the nearest stop to your house! We will come with books and popsicles for everyone and love to see our lions throughout the summer. Grab your neighbors and stop by!

Beginning this week, no-cost meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis at the sites and times listed on the FCPS Summer Food Service Program webpage. Students must remain on site while eating their meals.
This year, thanks to generous support from Educate Fairfax, families may also receive one no-cost breakfast and lunch per adult at the following elementary schools: Braddock, Dogwood, Glen Forest, Hutchison, Hybla Valley, and London Towne.
Summer sites will continue to be added, so please check the Summer Food webpage regularly for updates.
In addition to the resources below, Lemon Road shares a Summer Activity Board we hope all lions will complete and return! Access a digital copy here, check your child's Wednesday folder for a printed copy, or come to one of our summer events and pick up another printed copy! Lions that return completed (or partially completed) boards are invited to a celebration when school is back in session.
