I tested the propane canister adapter last weekend with the old two-burner and it works fine just make sure you pick up the right thread type I had one that was not compatible. Weather looks stable for the first week of October so I think we can plan the canyon loop trail. We can meet at the ranger station parking lot by 7 AM. I will handle breakfast supplies and the water filter. If you can bring the tents and maybe a deck of cards for the evening that would be great. The forecast says it might dip to forty degrees so pack an extra layer. Let me know if you want to split the firewood cost ahead of time.

Regarding the community garden plot you asked about I checked the soil composition last week and it looks good for root vegetables. The beds need a little more compost before planting season starts but the city coordinator mentioned they will deliver topsoil by mid month. I think we should go with carrots and beets on the north side and tomatoes on the south side where the afternoon sun hits. Let me know if you prefer a different layout for the rows. I can pick up the seedlings on Thursday morning if you want to meet at the hardware store around 9 AM. They also have a sale on soaker hoses which would work well for the drip setup.
