I think the Saturday morning time slot works best for the cleanup. Most people on the block said they prefer starting around 8 so we finish before the heat sets in. We will need to coordinate with the city for bag pickup and possibly a dumpster drop-off. I reached out to the community center about borrowing gloves and grabbers and they said we can reserve them for that weekend. Let me know if you want to split up the route map or just assign people as they arrive. The flyers should be ready to print by Wednesday and I can distribute them to the houses on Maple and Oak streets if you handle the ones on Elm and Pine. We should also think about whether we want to arrange a small refreshment table with water and snacks for volunteers. I can ask the local market if they would contribute something. Let me know what you think about the timing and if we should set a rain date for the following Saturday instead.

I finished the book last night and I have so many thoughts about the ending. I was not expecting that turn in the final chapter at all. I think the author did a really interesting job with the character development throughout the middle section even though the pacing felt a bit slow at times. For our discussion this month I was thinking we could focus on the theme of perspective and how each characters background shaped their decisions. I have a few discussion questions I can send over if you want to look at them before the meeting. Also wanted to check if we are still meeting at your place or if we should rotate to someone elses house this time around. I can bring the snack if everyone else handles drinks. Let me know if you want me to prepare a short summary for folks who might not have finished the reading yet. I think it will be a really good conversation.
