As people fled the bullets raining down from an active shooter, Michel Mizrahi stayed outside, directing everyone in the immediate area to seek cover.
Mizrahi, 68, was the civilian killed during Monday's shootout in Côte-des-Neiges. Hundreds attended his funeral on Wednesday to bid farewell, The Gazette's Jason Magder reports.
Those who knew Mizrahi said they expected nothing less from a man described as generous beyond words, and already a hero in the eyes of many.
