If you’ve been along Selsey seafront recently, you may have noticed some activity taking place. This work is an important step in helping to shape the future of the Selsey Coastal Scheme.
Suttle Projects Limited is carrying out a range of site investigations for us which include trial pits, between West Street and Park Lane.

These checks help the team understand beach levels, ground conditions and the condition of existing sea defences. Some work is taking place in environmentally designated areas, with permission from Natural England and the Marine Management Organisation. Holes are backfilled the same day and areas are left as they were. Thank you to residents and visitors for your patience while this important work continues.

During April the project held two events at the Selsey Centre to showcase the most recent progress on the scheme. Thanks to so many of you for joining us and supporting the scheme. Your valuable input helps us to understand opinions and concerns, as well as being a great opportunity to meet you in person! |

We took lots of valuable information away from the two events, like how much you value a scheme and how you would like the brand identity to look. We’re now using your comments to help shape our future plans wherever possible.
More events are planned for the inter where we will be sharing the leading options for the Selsey Coastal Scheme – Look out for more details!

We’ve revamped the Selsey webpages to make them more accessible for all and feature the most recent news about the scheme. The pages cover the journey so far, such as the coastal management strategy for the area, environmental considerations and how new defences are shortlisted.
