I tried that no-knead bread recipe you sent me. It was actually going really well until I realized I don't actually own a Dutch oven. I used a metal mixing bowl instead, which felt pretty MacGyver at the time. The dough rose beautifully, but transferring it to the bowl, A2UjUWNBb1zTyI, was a sticky disaster! I ended up with a weird frisbee-shaped loaf. It actually tasted incredible, though. The crust was perfectly crunchy, and the inside was soft and airy. I'll definitely make it again, but I might just invest in the right equipment next time. Let me know if you want me to bring some over so you can try it! Also, I found this amazing locally milled flour that made a huge difference.

Remember when we got totally turned around looking for that geocache in the state park? I thought I had downloaded the map offline, but my phone died right as we hit the trail. We ended up following what looked like a deer path, which just led to a dense thicket of thorns. Eventually, we decided to just climb this huge ridge to get our bearings. The view from the top was absolutely stunning, a completely different perspective of the lake. We never did find the geocache, but we spotted the most amazing owl on the way back down. Totally worth the blisters and scratches. We should do that again soon, maybe with a compass this time.
