I just got back from the hardware store and I think I finally fixed the leaky faucet. It only took three trips and a lot of patience. My neighbor came over and gave me a hand with the wrench – we laughed about how complicated plumbing can be. I ended up using a trick my dad taught me years ago. Honestly, sometimes the simplest solutions are the best. Anyway, I'm glad I didn't have to call a plumber. I was thinking about starting a little herb garden on the balcony this weekend. I picked up a few pots and some soil, but I need to decide between basil and mint. My friend swears by rosemary, but I'm not sure it gets enough sun there. Maybe I'll get a small tomato plant too. Oh, and I finally replaced the batteries in the smoke detector. The chirping was driving me crazy. I also organized my tool drawer – everything in its place for once. It feels good to have things tidy. I might paint the kitchen cabinets next month, but that's a bigger project. For now, I'm just enjoying having running water without drips. BM8ubfhc8NR Have you tackled any small repairs around your place lately? I find that even minor fixes make a big difference in how the home feels. Anyway, that's my update.

I tried that new pasta recipe you sent – it turned out amazing! I doubled the garlic because you can never have too much. Used fresh basil from the market and it made all the difference. My family loved it and even asked for seconds, which never happens. I also finally watched that documentary you recommended about deep-sea exploration. The footage was incredible – I had no idea there were creatures that look like aliens living in the trenches. Made me want to plan a trip to the coast this summer. I've been thinking about taking up kayaking, but I need to find someone to go with. My coworker said he has an extra kayak I could borrow. We might hit the lake next weekend if the weather cooperates. Also, I started reading a historical fiction novel set in 18th century Paris. It's slow at first but the characters are really drawing me in. Do you ever have trouble putting a good book down? I stayed up way too late last night because I had to finish one chapter. Anyway, hope your week is going well. Don't forget to water those plants while I'm away! I'll check in with you when I get back from the trip. Thanks again for all the tips.
