Yeah I finally checked out that bookstore you mentioned last week.
Honestly it was way better than I expected. They have this whole back room with vintage paperbacks and the owner let me flip through a first edition of one of my favorite novels.
I ended up spending almost two hours just browsing. The coffee shop next door is also worth a stop. Their cold brew was smooth and not bitter at all.
Anyway I grabbed a copy of that book you recommended so thanks for the tip. Let me know if you want to meet up there next Saturday.
We could grab coffee first and then wander through the stacks. I think you'd really like their poetry section.
They also have a small garden out back with benches where you can sit and read. It's pretty quiet during weekdays so that might be a good time to go if you want to get some writing done.

I finally tried that ramen place on Grand Avenue and wow it was incredible.
The broth had been simmering for like eighteen hours and you could really taste the depth of flavor. I got the miso ramen with extra chashu and a soft boiled egg on top.
The egg was perfectly runny in the center. My friend ordered the spicy tonkotsu and said it was the best bowl they've had outside of Japan.
The wait was about forty minutes on a Tuesday night but they have a nice bar area where you can grab a drink while you wait.
I'd recommend going early or putting your name in and walking around the block. The neighborhood has some cool vintage shops and a record store if you're into that.
We're already planning to go back next week to try their dipping noodles and maybe the gyoza appetizer too.
