Yeah, I totally agree with you on that. I've been thinking about getting back into photography more seriously. Last weekend I actually dusted off my old DSLR and took it to the park. The light was perfect in the late afternoon and I got some decent shots of the trees changing color. I forgot how much I enjoy just walking around and looking for interesting compositions. It forces you to slow down and notice things you'd normally walk right past. I'm thinking about signing up for a local workshop just to get some feedback on my work. There's one at the community center next month that focuses on landscape photography. Might be a good way to meet other people who are into it too. Anyway, let me know if you ever want to go shoot somewhere. Could be fun to make a day of it. I've been reading a couple of books on composition techniques and they've really opened my eyes to how much thought goes into a great image.

Oh, I saw that documentary you mentioned. It was really well done. I watched it last Tuesday night and couldn't stop thinking about it afterwards. The way they wove together the different storylines was impressive. I've been telling everyone I know to check it out. My brother watched it over the weekend and said the same thing. We had a long conversation about it on Sunday while we were grilling. It's rare to find something that's both entertaining and thought-provoking in equal measure. I'm planning to watch it again actually, probably this weekend. I think there are details I missed the first time. Let me know what you think if you end up watching it. I'd love to hear your take on the ending. I still can't decide if I think it was hopeful or bittersweet. The cinematography was gorgeous too, especially the scenes shot along the coast. I read an interview with the director who said they only had about six weeks to film everything.
