I was telling Sarah about that documentary we watched last week and she said she wanted to see it too so I sent her the link. We ended up talking for almost an hour about all sorts of random things like how her cat learned to open the cabinet door and the new coffee shop that opened near her place. She said the cold brew there is really smooth not bitter at all which is rare to find. I might go check it out this weekend if the weather holds up because they also have outdoor seating which is nice this time of year. 93U6yp00uf Anyway let me know if you want to come along because I know you've been wanting to find a good spot to read on Saturday mornings. Also I finally finished that book you lent me and I have so many thoughts about the ending I need to tell you about. Maybe we can grab coffee there and chat about it.

I tried making sourdough from scratch last weekend and it turned out way better than I expected. The starter took about a week to get really active and bubbly but once it was ready the bread came together pretty quickly. I used a simple recipe from that blog you recommended and the crust came out perfectly crispy while the inside was soft and chewy. The whole process is actually pretty meditative there's something satisfying about watching the dough rise and knowing you made it from just flour water and salt. I added a little rosemary and sea salt on top which gave it a nice flavor without being overpowering. Next time I want to try adding some olives or maybe sun-dried tomatoes. Let me know if you want to try baking together sometime I think we could have fun with it and worst case we end up with tasty bread anyway.
