I finally finished that series we talked about. Honestly, the character development in the third season was incredible. I didn't expect the plot twist involving the main protagonist's mentor. It completely reframed everything that happened in the first two books. We should chat about it when you have a chance. I'm curious if you interpreted the ending the same way I did. The symbolism was pretty dense but rewarding once you pieced it together. The soundtrack was also a standout element—haunting melodies that stuck with me long after each episode. I ended up watching the behind-the-scenes featurette and learned they composed most of it using vintage synthesizers. That attention to detail really elevates the whole experience. Let me know what you think when you finish it. I'd love to compare notes and maybe rewatch a few key scenes together. There are so many layers I feel like I missed half of them on the first pass. Anyway, no rush. Just wanted to share my thoughts while they were fresh.

I also started reading that book you recommended last month. The pacing is slower than I expected but the prose is beautiful. Some passages I had to read twice just to appreciate the craft. I can see why you thought I'd enjoy it.

The weather was perfect for the hike on Saturday. We started early to beat the crowds and managed to get a parking spot right at the trailhead. The waterfall was flowing really heavily because of all the rain last week. We saw a family of deer on the way back down which was a nice surprise. Packed a simple lunch but it tasted amazing out in the woods. YtCWs1DWpt9 Let me know if you want to join next time. We're planning to try the loop trail on the north side of the park. I heard the wildflowers are starting to bloom up there and the overlook at sunset is supposed to be spectacular. A few friends are bringing their cameras so it should be a good time. We'll probably grab dinner at that brewery near the park entrance afterward. Their seasonal menu is always worth the stop. I'll send you the details once we finalize the date. No pressure if you're busy. Just figured you might enjoy a day out on the trails. Let me know what you think. It's been a while since we all got together for something outdoors.

Bringing some binoculars this time to see if we can spot the bald eagle that's been nesting near the reservoir. Should be a good day.
