Yes I think the patio setup sounds great for Saturday afternoon. We have enough chairs if everyone brings a side dish or dessert we should be all set. I was thinking we could put the cooler near the back gate so folks can grab drinks without going through the kitchen. The grill cover is still in good shape from last season so we just need to wipe it down and check the propane level. Let me know if you want me to pick up extra napkins or plates on Friday. I can swing by the market after work and grab a few bags of ice too. The weather forecast looks warm so we might want to set up a few umbrellas over the picnic tables. If anyone has dietary preferences it would help to know ahead so we can plan sides accordingly. I will send a quick note to the group later this week to confirm timing and what everyone is bringing.

I watched that documentary about coastal ecosystems last night and found the sections on tidal marsh restoration really interesting. The way they showed how native grasses help stabilize shorelines while providing habitat for juvenile fish made me think about the creek behind the old Miller property. I remember hearing that a local conservation group was looking at similar techniques for that area. The film also covered how oyster reefs can reduce wave energy during storms which seems like something more communities could consider. I know the run time was nearly two hours but it moved at a good pace. If you have not seen it I think you would appreciate the cinematography alone. Let me know if you want to borrow the streaming login. I can send the details tomorrow morning.
