oh yeah i totally get what you mean. i tried that new place on the corner last week and honestly i was surprised at how good the bread was. i thought it would be just okay but it was really fresh. my sister told me about it and i was skeptical at first. she usually likes things that are too trendy for me. but this one actually worked out. i went around noon and it wasn't too crowded yet. the guy behind the counter was super helpful too. he recommended the one with the roasted veggies and i went with it. no regrets. i'll probably go back next week and try something else on the menu. they have a bunch of options i haven't even looked at yet. my friend wants to meet there on saturday so i might get to try a few more things. anyway i just wanted to share that because i know you've been looking for a good spot nearby. let me know if you end up going.

also i finally got around to fixing that shelf in the garage. it had been wobbling for months and i kept putting it off. turns out it just needed a couple of screws tightened and one bracket replaced. took maybe twenty minutes total. i don't know why i waited so long. now i can actually put stuff on it without worrying it will fall down. feels good to cross that off the list. next up is the garden bed that needs some fresh soil. i might do that this weekend if the weather cooperates. we'll see.

hey i was just thinking about what you mentioned earlier. i finally got around to organizing my closet and honestly it feels like a whole new room. i got those little bins from the home store and labeled everything. sounds silly but it makes me happy every time i open the door. my partner laughed at me for being so excited about it but whatever. i also rearranged the living room furniture and now it flows way better. the couch facing the window was a game changer. we get way more light during the day and it just feels bigger. i don't know why we didn't do it sooner. sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference. anyway i just wanted to share that in case you're looking for a simple weekend project. sometimes i find that doing something small like that helps clear my head too. maybe it's just me but i feel less cluttered mentally when my space is organized. let me know if you try it.

also i started reading that book my cousin recommended. i was skeptical because our tastes usually don't line up but this one is actually pretty good. i'm about a third of the way through and i can't put it down. the characters feel real and the dialogue is sharp. i stayed up way too late last night because i kept telling myself just one more chapter. if you want i can lend it to you when i'm done. i think you'd like it. it's not too heavy but it's not completely fluffy either. a good middle ground. i'll text you the title when i remember it. i left it on my nightstand and i'm too comfortable to get up right now.
