yeah i totally get what you mean about the book dragging in the middle chapters
i felt the same way when i was reading it last month but honestly the last hundred pages really turned it around for me
the way the author starts weaving all those loose threads together caught me off guard
i almost gave up around page 200 but my friend kept saying stick with it so i did
and then that plot twist near the end just changed everything i thought i knew about the main character
i stayed up way too late finishing it because i could not put it down after that point
have you gotten to the part where the old lighthouse keeper shows up yet
that scene alone is worth pushing through the slower parts in my opinion
i think some of the early chapters are setting up details that seem boring now but pay off later
i might even reread it someday just to catch the clues i missed the first time around
anyway if you finish it let me know what you think about the ending because i still have mixed feelings about it
my coworker hated the finale but i thought it fit the tone perfectly

i was telling my neighbor just yesterday that the new walking trail behind the old high school is actually really nice now
they finally paved it all the way through and added those little rest benches every quarter mile or so
we took the dogs out there last saturday morning and it was pretty quiet except for a few cyclists
there is this one section that goes along the creek where you can hear the water running and it is surprisingly calming
my dog spent the whole time trying to chase squirrels so i barely got any steps in but it was still a good outing
the neighbor mentioned they are planning to add a small parking lot near the entrance because more people are using it now
i think that is a good idea because right now everyone just parks along the shoulder and it gets a bit tight when two cars pass
anyway it is nice to have a place nearby where you can just walk and not hear traffic the whole time
