Hey thanks for getting back to me — I was starting to wonder if you'd seen my note. Anyway, I finally tried that new ramen place on Grand and it was exactly what we needed after the week we had. The broth was rich without being too salty and they had these little side dishes of pickled vegetables that really cut through the richness. I also grabbed some bao buns to go and they held up surprisingly well the next day. Let me know if you want to go sometime this week — I'm free Thursday after 6 and all day Saturday. We could bring that book I borrowed if you want it back. No rush on that though. Also I finally figured out the settings on my camera and got a few shots that actually look decent. Maybe I'll bring it along and we can mess around with some photos if you're into it. Anyway no pressure just thought it'd be fun to catch up properly.

I was just thinking about our conversation the other day about how hard it is to find a good houseplant that doesn't immediately wilt no matter what you do. I finally tried that little shop on the corner of Elm and 5th and the woman working there showed me a few varieties that are practically impossible to kill. I picked up a small snake plant and a pothos cutting that was already rooting in water. She said the trick is to ignore them most of the time and only water when the soil is completely dry. I've had mine for about three weeks now and they're both putting out new leaves so I think she was right. Also I found a really nice ceramic pot at the thrift store for like four dollars and it works perfectly. Anyway if you're still looking for something for your desk I'd definitely recommend stopping by that shop. The woman said they get new shipments on Thursdays so that's probably the best day to go.
