Your Story Starts Here
Dear Kings Park Families,
We hope everyone is enjoying the extended Memorial Day weekend as we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication will always be remembered with gratitude, and we are especially thankful for the members of the Kings Park community who serve and have served our nation.
Students ended last week with a special visit from two librarians from the Kings Park Library. During their visit, students learned about the many ways they can “read, read, read” all summer long through books, programs, and activities available through Fairfax County Public Libraries’ programs and services.
Students’ literacy adventures continue this week as we are excited to welcome author Sue Fliess to Kings Park on Thursday, May 28! Sue Fliess is the author of dozens of children’s books and will share her expertise with students about the writing process, where authors find inspiration for their ideas, and how research helps bring stories to life. We look forward to this engaging and inspiring experience for our students and are thankful to the Kings Park/Kings Glen PTA for helping make this opportunity possible.
