 We had a busy, but productive week at Lemon Road. We concluded our SOL testing and are preparing for some retakes. In addition, we have been working on our end of year testing for the Reading iReady, VALLSS and Math MAP. We will be concluding this testing and working on additional end of year learning and activities.
Last week was our final PTA General Meeting of the year. We appreciate all our parents who have been supporting the PTA and joined us at meetings. A special thank you to Caitlin Gaffey & Jessica Bradford who have served on the board for the last two years! We appreciate the impact you have made on our school and community.
There is no school on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We hope that your family will enjoy this time to relax and recharge! We will see everyone back on Thursday, May 28th for a short week. Have a great rest of the weekend!

- Visitors to school events are encouraged to download the Raptor Safe App prior to visiting the school to significantly expedite the check in process.
- All FCPS library books must be returned to school by June 4.

- We are collecting donations of gently used books that are used for summer programming - drop them in the colorful bins around the school.
- All parents of students in grades 3, 4, and 5 please click this link to select if your child will participate in band, strings and/or chorus next year.
- If you have a child who will be 5 years old by September 30, 2026, please use the online registration tool to register them for Kindergarten.
- Donate snacks/drinks that will be shared with the staff using specific staff favorites or anything you have on hand. We appreciate all the donations this year!
- Add money to your child's lunch account through MySchoolBucks, check out the menu, and apply for Free and Reduced-Price Meals here.
- Nominate a Lemon Road staff member for a FCPS Cares recognition!
- Have your child log minutes of ST Math, Lexia, Khan Academy, or Varsity Tutors to keep up with learning throughout the spring and summer Access all through Lemon Road Student Links.
 Sixth grade day is coming soon and we need support from all sixth grade parents. Please use the QR code or click this link to help with volunteering or donations to make this year's celebration a success. Please check your child's backpack on Thursday to purchase a 6th Grade shirt. Thank you!
The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the student dismissal time on the last day of school, June 17th. Medication left in the health room after that time will be destroyed. It is FCPS policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student. You can start picking medications up as soon as next week!
