Hey I finally got around to checking out that trail you mentioned last month. The parking situation was actually fine when I got there around 8am on Saturday. Total distance came out to about 6 miles if you take the loop instead of out-and-back. The elevation gain was pretty steady for the first mile but then it levels off nicely. I brought my dog along and she loved the creek crossings. There's a waterfall about halfway through that's worth stopping at for photos. The trail markers were clear except for one confusing junction where the path splits near the ridge. Going right keeps you on the main route. I'd definitely go back when the fall colors peak. Let me know if you want to plan a trip together next month. I think we could handle a longer route if we start earlier in the day. The weather was perfect and we had the trail mostly to ourselves.

I tried that sourdough recipe you shared and it turned out amazing. The starter took about 10 days to get really active and bubble consistently. I used a mix of bread flour and whole wheat and the flavor came out nice and tangy. The first loaf was a bit flat but the second one had great oven spring. I scored it with a simple cross pattern and the crust cracked beautifully. I've been giving slices to neighbors and they keep asking for the recipe. The trick is to really let the bulk ferment go long enough AESpYKO2PBH4 even when you think it's ready wait another hour. I also added some rosemary and sea salt on top before baking which gave it a nice savory twist. Let me know if you want to try a bake together sometime I'm happy to walk through the steps. The kitchen smelled incredible all afternoon.
