Yeah I finally got around to trying that hiking trail you mentioned last month. The views from the top were absolutely worth the climb. We started early around 7 AM to beat the heat and the parking lot was already half full. The switchbacks were steep but the trail was well marked the whole way. About three miles in there's a great overlook where you can see the whole valley. We packed sandwiches and ate lunch up there. Took us about four and a half hours round trip with breaks. I'd definitely go back maybe in the fall when the leaves change. The weather was perfect mid seventies and clear skies. Make sure you bring plenty of water though there aren't many spots to refill along the way. Let me know if you want to plan another hike soon. I'm free most weekends and would love to check out that other trail you mentioned near the lake.

I finally finished reading that book you recommended and I have to say it really grew on me. The first few chapters were a bit slow but once the main character leaves the city the story really picks up. The way the author describes the coastal landscape makes you feel like you are right there. I found myself staying up way too late on a work night just to finish the last few chapters. There is a plot twist around page 280 that I genuinely did not see coming which rarely happens to me. The ending felt satisfying but also left room for interpretation which I appreciate. I have already started looking into other books by the same author. Let me know if you have any other recommendations. I am trying to get through at least twelve books this year. Also that soup recipe you sent was amazing I made it twice already and shared it with my neighbor who loved it too.
