Yeah, the trail was pretty muddy after all the rain last week. We ended up turning back about halfway because the stream crossing looked a bit too sketchy with the water level up. Definitely need to go back when it's drier. There were some amazing views of the valley though, even from the lower section. I'll send you the photos I took. You would have loved the wildflowers. The dog was completely covered in mud by the end, took forever to clean her up. Anyway, let me know if you want to come along next time we head out. I think the forecast looks good for maybe a week from Saturday. We could pack a picnic this time and make a proper day of it. I bought a new insulated backpack that should keep things cold for hours.

Have you had a chance to try that new cooperative board game yet? We finally got a group together to play it last night. It took us about an hour to get through the first round of rules, but once we got rolling it was actually really fun. The mechanics are pretty clever, and it scales well with different player counts. We almost won, but made one silly mistake at the end that cost us the game. Definitely want to give it another shot soon. I think it works best with exactly four players. Let me know if you and your partner are free next weekend, we could try to get a session in. I'll bring some snacks and drinks. There is a new expansion coming out next month that adds a whole new map and character class.
