Yeah I think starting the compost bins behind the shed makes more sense than next to the garage. The soil there drains better and there is more shade throughout the afternoon which should help keep the moisture consistent. We should also get the measuring done this weekend so we can order the lumber by Monday. I already checked with the supplier and they have cedar planks in stock at a reasonable price. For the layout I was thinking three bins rotating use that way we always have one ready to turn and one finishing. If you want I can swing by tomorrow evening and we can sketch out the dimensions together. Let me know what time works for you. I have a morning meeting but after noon I am free. We can also grab coffee and talk through the whole plan before we commit to the build. The space behind the shed gets good airflow too which helps with the composting process overall.

We could split the signup list into appetizers main dishes and desserts to keep things balanced. I think the park pavilion is already reserved for the second Saturday so we should confirm that first before sending invites. For tables and chairs I can borrow folding ones from the community center if we pick them up the day before. We might also want to ask a couple neighbors to help with setup around 4pm so everything is ready when people arrive. I was thinking we could do a simple grilled chicken option and then let everyone else fill in the sides. Does that sound reasonable or would you prefer a different approach?
