That sounds like a great plan for the weekend. I was thinking about doing something similar actually. We went out to the lake last Saturday and the water was perfect. Not too cold, not too warm, just right for a long swim. A few friends brought kayaks and we paddled around the coves for a couple of hours. Saw a heron standing on a fallen log near the shore, completely still, just watching the fish. We stayed out there until the sun started getting low and the light turned golden across the water. On the way back we stopped at that little market on the corner and grabbed some fresh peaches and corn. I ended up going to that workshop downtown last Thursday and it was way more fun than I expected. The instructor was really patient and walked everyone through the whole process step by step. A couple of people in the class had never tried anything like it before and by the end they had made something really nice. I worked on a small project that took most of the afternoon but it was worth it because I learned a few new techniques I had been wanting to try. The space itself was bright and open with big windows along one wall so there was plenty of natural light. They had all the tools set up and ready to go which made it easy to just jump in and start working. I ended up staying a little later than planned because I got into a groove and wanted to finish one last detail.
