Walmart Rewards Notice
Hey, I wanted to circle back on what you asked about the weekend trip. I looked into the cabin rentals near the lake and honestly there aren't many left for that date range. Most of the decent ones are already booked through early fall. I called a couple of the property managers just to double-check and they confirmed the same thing. One place had a cancellation open up but it was only for three nights midweek and I know you were hoping for a full Friday-to-Monday stretch. The good news is I found a spot a little further north about twenty minutes past the main road that still has availability. It's more rustic than the others we looked at but it has a fire pit and a screened porch which honestly sounds pretty nice. Let me know if you want me to reserve it or if you'd rather keep looking. I can also check some of the smaller rental sites that don't always show up in the main search results if you want more options.

I tried that new pasta recipe you sent me last week and it turned out way better than I expected. I was a little skeptical about the sauce because it seemed thin when I first mixed it but after letting it simmer for an extra ten minutes it thickened up perfectly. I added a bit more garlic than the recipe called for because you know I can't resist that and I threw in some fresh basil from the plant on my windowsill. The whole thing came together in about thirty minutes which made it a great weeknight dinner. My partner had seconds which is always a good sign. I think next time I might try it with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes to give it a little kick. Let me know if you have any other recipes you've been liking lately. I'm in a bit of a cooking rut and trying to find things that are quick but still feel a little special. Anyway just wanted to share that it was a hit over here.
