FCPL Fix-It Clinics (1 - 5 p.m.)
Several of our library branches are hosting Fix-It Clinics to help repair your broken items. Skilled fixers will be available to bring your items back to life for free including sewing, jewelry, book, bike and watch repair.
Ice Cream at Historic Huntley (2 - 3 p.m.)
Make and enjoy hand-cranked ice cream at Historic Huntley in Alexandria. Discover how the histories of ice cream and Huntley follow a similar path from elite luxury to family fare. An ice well and Historic Huntley House tour are included. Registration is $10.
Alice in Wonderland Tea Party (2 - 3:30 p.m.)
Sip tea, enjoy butterfly-shaped sandwiches and join the Mad Hatter and his friends at the strangest of tea parties at the Hidden Oaks Nature Center in Annandale. You'll get to meet a live creature from the story. Registration is $20.
Financial Wellness Workshop: Household Budget (3 - 4 p.m.)
Join us for a workshop at Pohick Regional Library in Burke to learn how to create a budget using a spreadsheet template, and review best practices in managing expenses and growing savings. We’ll also cover budgeting apps.
Shell We Swim? (6:30 - 8 p.m.)
Choose from a 1000-, 500-, 100- or 25-yard swim, and race through a winding pool course at the Franconia Rec Center in Alexandria. Participants will receive a “Pirates Booty” medal and be entered into raffles. This event is open to all skill levels. Registration is $35.
