Early sessions for STAT@ASCO: Science vs. Cancer are now live, including a returning appearance from Richard Pazdur, who previously led the FDA’s Oncology Center of Excellence and the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.

Today, STAT’s Lizzy Lawrence published a new story featuring Pazdur and other former FDA staffers exploring what was lost at the agency amid recent changes and departures.

Pazdur will join STAT reporters on stage to discuss the latest in cancer research, the evolving oncology landscape, and what’s on his mind now that he can speak more freely outside the FDA — before turning the tables and putting STAT reporters on the spot himself.

Also on stage: STAT’s Adam Feuerstein will sit down with Mark A. Goldsmith, president and CEO of Revolution Medicines, to discuss the company’s promising pancreatic cancer treatment and the challenge of turning a scientific breakthrough into a cornerstone therapy
