Actor alleges James Cameron used her teenage face to create key ‘Avatar' character

A new lawsuit filed against filmmaker James Cameron and The Walt Disney Company alleges that Cameron used the facial features of a then-14-year-old actress as the basis for one of the main characters in the “Avatar” films.

The suit, filed Tuesday by actress Q’orianka Kilcher, alleges that in 2005, when she was 14, Cameron “extracted her facial features” from a photograph of her portraying Pocahontas in film “The New World” and “directed his design team to use it as the foundation for the character of Neytiri,” a release about the suit said.

The complaint includes excerpts from interviews between Cameron and his production team that mention Kilcher by name and describe how her likeness was used as inspiration for the fictional character who was played onscreen by Zoe Saldaña.

Influencer Clavicular facing charges in apparent alligator shooting, records show

Controversial “looksmaxxing” influencer Clavicular and two others are facing charges in Miami-Dade in connection with a video that showed an alligator being shot at in the Florida Everglades, court records show.

Clavicular, whose real name is Braden Eric Peters, is facing a charge of unlawfully discharging a firearm in a public place or residential property, according to the information filed by the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office on April 29.

Also facing charges in the incident are Andrew Morales, known on social media as “Cuban Tarzan,” and Yabdiel Anibal Cotto Torres.

Ted Turner, billionaire media mogul and CNN founder, dies at 87

Ted Turner, the high-flying media tycoon, entrepreneur and philanthropist who founded CNN and revolutionized American cable television, died on Wednesday.

He was 87.

Turner’s death was first reported by CNN, citing a Turner Enterprises news release.

The “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” star debuted a brand new bob haircut in a series of photos posted by her hairstylist, Adir Abergel.

The fresh cut comes just in time for the actor’s Broadway debut in the solo show “Every Brilliant Thing” this month. Hargitay will be taking over for Daniel Radcliffe on May 26.
