Study: Compensation is weakest driver of engagement

Employee engagement remains stable, but factors such as compensation, career development and collaboration lag, according to a report from McLean. While 80% of workers plan to stay with their employers, compensation scores are the lowest driver of engagement at 52%, with career advancement at 58.3%. McLean recommends that HR leaders enhance career development pathways, align total rewards with expectations and improve coaching skills to sustain engagement and reduce turnover risk.
