A team from the Institute of Science Tokyo and the Rakuten Institute of Technology has developed a wearable scent-generation system for virtual reality that can blend up to eight fragrance elements in real time. The device uses a micro-dispenser and ultrasound waves to create a fine mist, enhancing the realism of virtual environments. Test participants reported that the added scents created a more immersive virtual experience.

Apple's inaugural iPhone Fold is expected to be the most significant redesign in the device's history, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports. The foldable phone is anticipated to feature a completely new design, with a 5.5-inch outer screen and a 7.8-inch inner screen, and could be priced between $2,000 and $2,500. The handsets could debut in September alongside the iPhone 18 series.
