Spring Break Plans? The REC Has You Covered

Teens can have fun, make new friends, and build skills at The REC, Arlington’s after-school program featuring music, dance, games, cooking, art, sports, and more.

During Spring Break, The REC is open at Arlington Mill Community Center from 1–7 p.m., with a meal provided from 4:30–5:30 p.m.

Spring Break: Daily Amphitheater Animal Encounter

Come explore the parks and meet some local wildlife! Join us Thu., April 2, 12-1 p.m. at Long Branch Nature Center from 12-1 p.m. at the amphitheater to see and, in some cases, touch two or more live or preserved animals. The event is open to all ages, no registration required. Dress for the weather! More Information on Daily Amphitheater Animal Encounter.

Courthouse Farmers Market Expansion

The Arlington Farmers Market at Courthouse is getting bigger this spring! Beginning Sat., April 4, the market expands by nearly 4,000 square feet with 20 new tents. Operated by FRESHFARM, the market features fresh, local goods and offers SNAP matching and SFMNP benefits. Stop by to explore new vendors and the expanded space. Family Art Lab: Decorative Photo Frames

There’s still time to register! Join us at Arlington Mill Community Center on Sat., April 4, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. to create a photo frame as unique as you are! Each participant (including adults) must register, and all children must be supervised by a participating adult. Sign up for Family Art Lab!

Save the Date: Arlington Palooza returns May 16!

Arlington Palooza is back on Sat., May 16, from 1-6 p.m. at Lubber Run Community Center and Park.
This free, family-friendly event includes live music, local vendors, food trucks, hands-on activities, and fun for all ages.


Applications are now open for artisan, community, food, and entertainment vendors. You can also RSVP to let us know you plan to attend.

Access for All!
Parks & Recreation classes, camps, fitness memberships, preschools, programs and more are at a price you can afford! Our fee reduction program helps Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day! Access for All. Whether you have a short-term set back or something longer term, we're here to help.

 

Additionally, all Parks & Recreation programs, classes and camps can put modifications in place to promote an enjoyable and successful program experience for participants of all abilities. Advance notice is welcome. Call 703-228-4740 or email trinfo@arlingtonva.us.

 

Stop by our office at Lubber Run Community Center on select Saturdays to get help with registration, create an account, get login information, renew or apply for fee reductions, drop off registration forms, set up payment plans and more. The DPR Administrative Services Office at Lubber Run Community Center also has extended after hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 –7 p.m. for in-person assistance.
